The FireROD from Exotac is a compact firestarter. The magnesium rod gives you sparks of 3000 degrees Celsius which, because of the addition of ferrocerium, will burn for a longer period of time. The removable parts are protected by the o-rings against moisture and other influences. An extra o-ring is included. If necessary you can also replace the rod. The handle the rod is screwed into is made from anodized aluminium. This handle also serves as a container for tinder.
