The Katadyn ez-clean membrane replacement filter is suited for the Katadyn BeFree water filters. The filter is enhanced with hollow fibres that stop all particles larger than 0.1 micron. As such it is great for filtering water that you know is not chemically contaminated: bacteria, cysts and sediment are blocked without problems. Depending on the quality of the water, the filter can clean up to 1.000 litres. The BeFree does not filter viruses or bad tastes, for which the use of disinfectant drops is recommended.
